About this Job
You will:
– Work with Writers and Creators to onboard them effectively and gather the necessary data on the works they have created.
– Maintain up-to-date records for all Prisma Music Publishing writers, including contact details, payment information, and royalty status.
– Manage detailed song registration processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
– Analyse writer and publisher royalty data and income, providing actionable insights.
– Organise and maintain Prisma Music Publishing documents and contracts, including writer contracts.
– Process and analyze royalty statements using industry knowledge.
– Assist in preparing royalty statements and reports.
– Verify song registrations with collective rights organizations (e.g. MLC, ASCAP, PRS etc.
– Identify opportunities for more effective administration and management of repertoire.
– Provide guidance and education on music publishing matters to colleagues.
– Support the decisions regarding software and admin providers.
– Work closely with the Catalogue Admin Manager to provide a joined-up solution to the management of Prisma’s assets and rights.
– Support efforts of other teams such as Neighbouring Rights.
Skills and Experience:
– A self-starter with a strong ambition to contribute to and execute the company’s growth strategy.
– 5+ years of experience in music publishing rights administration, including CMO registrations and/or collections.
– Passionate about music with a deep understanding of royalty flows in the publishing industry.
– A proactive and enquiring mindset, keen to learn new skills beyond immediate responsibilities.
– Hands-on experience across a full spectrum of music publishing administration tasks.
– Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to draw meaningful insights from data.
– Knowledge of digital music tools and familiarity with music file formats.
– Experience with rights management software (e.g. Music Maestro or similar music publishing administration software).
– Experience with the Mechanical Licensing Collective is desirable.

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Playlist Manager to manage our playlists on major digital streaming platforms (DSPs). This role requires a passion for music, a deep understanding of playlist dynamics, and a strategic mindset to drive performance and engagement across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Playlist Strategy:

- Build, own and regularly update the Prisma Playlist Strategy.
Playlist Management:
– Listen to releases and update existing playlists across all major DSPs to ensure they remain fresh, relevant, and engaging.
– Work with digital playlisting updating tools – Soundiiz.
– Prioritise playlists that should be updated weekly, monthly, etc. Use data to decide on priority.
– Optimize and maintain playlist positioning on DSPs: Regularly update playlists with SEO-friendly names, descriptions and artworks, monitor performance, and suggest reinforcement strategies to the digital marketing and account management team to ensure sustained visibility and stay ahead of competitors.
Playlist Tracking:
– Ensure Prisma-owned playlists are tracked as per current Prisma tracking tools and processes, and optimise where needed.
Playlist Creation:
– Create & manage new playlists in line with new Prisma sub brand launches.
– Develop new Prisma owned playlists tailored to specific themes, genres, moods, languages or events, aligned with Prisma’s brand identity and audience preferences.
– Work with A&R and other departments on idea generation for these new playlists.
– Work with the Creative team on playlist artworks.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
– Track & analyze Prisma owned playlist performance metrics (e.g. plays, skips, saves, completion rates, track placement performance) to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
– Work with the Digital Marketing team on the Playlist ads tracking.
– Regularly compile & analyse popularity score data and amend playlisting strategy as needed.
– Track & analyse DSP playlist performance metrics (e.g. Amazon Sleep Station playlists – how many streams per month, how many Prisma tracks included on playlist, engagement, skip data, etc)
– Recommend & integrate strategies to grow playlist engagement & market share.
– Provide regular updates to the team on playlist performance, insights, and recommendations.
Market Research:
– Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging DSP features to maintain a competitive edge.
Collaboration:
– Work closely with the Digital Marketing, Account Management, Creative, A&R, Sync, Ops & Data teams to ensure playlists are performing optimally and playlist strategies are aligned with broader company goals.
Third Party Playlists:
– Manage strategy & relationships with all 3rd party playlist companies that Prisma are working with (e.g. Soundtrack Your Brand).
Sync Playlist Assistance:
– Working with the Sync Manager on DISCO specific tasks including (but not limited to):
– Tagging rights and other criteria in DISCO,
– Updating existing playlists and catalogs in DISCO in line with major DSP playlist updates,
– Creating new playlists in DISCO in line with major DSP playlist updates.
– Making decisions about song inclusion in Sync CRM mailouts.
– Maintaining and updating the data sheets for bulk license deals eg: CSV for Soundmouse / In flight etc
Key Qualifications:
– Proven experience in playlist curation and management.
– Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data tools (e.g. S4A, Chartmetric, FUGA).
– Exceptional knowledge of music genres, trends, and audience preferences.
– Experience in or understanding of music marketing and promotion strategies.
– Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
– Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience working with DISCO & Soundiiz
– Familiarity with social media trends and how they influence streaming habits.
– Experience working with music labels or artists.
